Two climates, one county
Everything above roughly 3,000 feet — Kingman, Valle Vista, Dolan Springs, Chloride and to a lesser extent Golden Valley — gets real freeze-thaw cycling through winter. Exterior flatwork there wants air-entrained concrete and cold-weather protection.
Everything down in the Colorado River valley — Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, Mohave Valley and Lake Havasu City — barely freezes at all, and instead deals with average July highs around 110°F. There the whole discipline is hot-weather placement: early starts, adjusted mix, and curing taken seriously.
